Currently I reside in Perth, Western Australia and photography is my passion. So to combine the beauty of both things is an obvious choice for me. The natural beauty that exists along the Western Australian coastline takes my breath away and is a constant source of inspiration for my photographs. As my photos show, the coastline changes from one blink of the eye to the next and each subsequent scene is even more breath-taking than the last. From rocky coastlines, to blue beaches, along with magnificent trees and stunning natural flora, the diversity of these scenes of our wonderful State are definitely what began my passion for photography and create an original and unique photographic journey.
When I take my photographs I try to capture a ‘moment’ and that special something that moves in me to want to keep that moment forever – the true beauty of photography.
If I were given this amazing opportunity, it would be my goal, both in this scholarship and in my future career as a professional photographer, to show my viewers what I see, feel and experience, so those who see my photographs are taken on a remarkable journey with me.
If I were presented with this scholarship I know it would be the biggest career opportunity I would be likely to get in the field of photography. To work with someone of such caliber and with so much experience would be the stepping stone that I need to enter into the professional field of my dreams.
