My Scholarship entry - Could you ask for more?

I am a graphic design student in New York and I would not be where I am today without my photography. I started taking pictures at the age of 8 and never turned back. From developing my own pictures, I found out that art is the journey I wanted to take. I learned more about photography and signed up for a graphic design class taught by a photographer in High School. She said that, "Photography will take you to all different places, but will always bring you back to your heart." I couldn't forget that quote she stated and that is what made me try harder in school. My last semester of school ends in Spring 2015 and I work at an advertising firm part-time interning. I went to Italy 2 years ago and that experience changed my life. I would want to see another part of the world I've been dreaming of, The Amazon. I want to explore the world one more time while I am young, because in the next coming years, I am going to establish myself as a graphic designer in the world and will not have the convenience of traveling around the world.
