I love photography. It inspires me to capture the beauty in the world around us. It gives us the chance to bring back beautiful memories that we don’t want to forget and to relive that moment captured in time.
I have been dabbling in photography since I was a child with proper study of it once I reached the senior years of school. After however I kept it only as a part time hobby and decided to do a Tourism course to pursue my other passion which was and still is travel. Probably two of the most common passions people have i’d say.
For three years I worked in a small travel agency and was able to satisfy my thirst for travel by being able to go on many ‘working’ holidays, this is where my photography love really came back in full force, by seeing so much of what the world had to offer and after leaving the travel industry I decided to do a certificate in photography to learn the more technical side of things and hopefully burst into the photography scene.
Which brings me to where I would like to go with my photography I love nature, animals & people. I have always been a fan of National Geographic photographers, and their amazing and awe inspiring images.
I have presented to you 5 images I took while holidaying in South Africa and although the scholarship is indeed to South Africa, I was really proud of these images and wanted to share them as they do illustrate the type of work I would love to be doing in the future. I hope my passion shines through and thank you for this amazing opportunity.
