I am an Australian Soldier and have been since I was 17, since I joined the Army 7 years ago I have enjoyed not just taking photo's.... but memories in order to share them with family and friends.

During my time within the ADF I have had the chance to travel to many places such as Iraq, East timor, UAE and many others in transit.... my most recent being to Afganistan. Although I have enjoyed my time serving within the army, I cant see this being my career which has led me to pursue different avenues. I enjoy the outdoors and travel, nature and culture, which leaves a career in photography in high regard.

Sadly I am reasonably inexperienced, I never went to university and I dont have an expensive camera, but I am sure this is what I want to do. I grew up around the ocean and enjoy most outdoor activities... there isn't much that phases me and i'm not afraid to get dirty.

I wish to pursue a career that allows me to travel and record the world for those who dont get to leave their duties and explore for themselves. Regardless of the outcome of this compitition, it has inspired me to persue photography on a higher level, even if its only as a hobby.
