This trip is something i longed for and thought that only outstanding and very smart young people are able to take part. However i happened to find myself among those lucky guys. I had lots of problems with registration procedure and travel arrangements but my desire and persistance helped me to overcome those hindrances. This magic place is International Youth Forum Seliger that takes place evert year and attracts young leaders from Russian and abroad. This is a tent camp on the bank of amazing lake - Seliger, my sesssion was about global cooperation, economy and international relations and the peculiarity was that we lived with foreign students from deifferent corners of the world.
Just imagine that you wake up early in the morning in a sleeping-bag, your head goes round because you simply can't get used to te situation around, rain is not planning to stop and only the cold wind goes through your mind and cools a bit fears, emotions and thoughts. This is how it all began. Hopefully i had 3 friends by my side and together we coped with all the problems. Throught the week we visited inspiring workshops and lectures we learned how to deal with global problems and issues that mankind will be facing in 5-10 years. Above all we travelled to the ancient monastery and felt the spirit of one wise man how founded it centuries ago. Every day we had to wake up at the break of dawn and preapre food for a team we lived with. In our team there were students from Canada, China, Germany, Belorussia and other countries. We still keep in touch because we are trying to save those warm and sweet memories we experienced at Seliger. I came across piles of ideas and facts about countries i've never been to and shared all i know about Russia as there i got the notion that we are all citizens of the world and we are born to respect each other, help and share both joy and sorrow. Despite the fact that i got terribly ill and felt sick now i considere it to be the most useful and unusual experience in my whole life. I am sure it was a challenge i needed and i gained new emotions and realized the importance of finding YOUR OWN WAY. I wish i could record these memories forever.
