The Adventures of Alpernicus

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

The Spanish word for gentleman is el caballero, meaning- 'man on horseback'. Just outside the Spanish town of Segovia men on horseback use long poles to guide bulls to town for the festival. Although the bulls will eventually be killed and butchered it is the goal of these men, and considered a sign of skill, to deliver the bulls to the arena unharmed.
