Sanctuary in the Cove

My brother just got married in New Zealand, where he lives. It was my second trip there and me and my family wanted to explore the Northern island. We planned a road trip and I found this "hotel" that looks amazing, located in a beautiful spot, but we were not sure about the photos on the website. We arrived at night and had difficulties to find the place as it was a small entrance and there was no much signs on the road. We started to drive, following the lights on the alley, in what appeared to be a private botanic garden. We found the unique parking place and then walked to our cottage, still following the lights. We eventually arrived on a private beach where there was just one house, ours. It was so beautiful you could even cry, luxury at its best, nothing fancy, just the beauty of nature. When we woke up the next day, it as more than everything we could have expected : we had kayaks available for a ride in the bay, we had our breakfast facing the ocean, surrounded by a few birds, not even afraid of us. On the right side of the beach there was a mangrove where we later one went kayaking. The whole stay there was pure gold, we had flown from the other side of the world and wanted to share a precious time with my family. This landscape, the scenery, were so peaceful and deep. I wish I could send so many people there, not altogether of course, just sending nice people, couples, families, good friends there, to experience the beauty of it.
