The air grows colder as the day draws to a close. The five o’clock crowd rushes home past an old man. He stands hour after hour; hoping that enough money will be given to him to sustain life for one more day. But passers-by have become desensitized to the plight of the homeless, leaving him with nothing but an empty cup and a frozen face.
