I felt so tired after an approximately 14 hours flight from Jakarta to Frankfurt. That was my first flight and first time to went abroad. Maybe i got a great jet lag at that time.
So, i got a schoolarship to had german course here in Germany for three weeks and tours in each weekend. As an asia girl, i really interested to experienced the west culture.
In dormitery i met the other friends who came from six different country . It was little bit funny to found more foreigners than germans here.
The fresh morning air of Bodenrod village accosted me while i went to my balcony. It was my trysting place because i could see an old villa in the middle among the rug of threes here. I found various kind of ‘Müsli’ (cereal) with cold milk in my breakfast. I chosed the grain cereal one and it became my favourite meal.
I found various kind of cheeses in my lunch but i didn't like that cz it was stinky. In Germany, i took the water from the wash basin and sometimes boiled my instant noodle with water from shower., the water from shower was hoter, That was really funny.
in the first weekwend, i went to Frankfurt am Mein. As i arrived, i immediately noticed the two contrasting sides of Frankfurt - one so modern, the other so old. I visited gift shops and bought some accessories. I stood in line behind the white skin man. The cashier spoke in german with the man, but the man asked him to spoke in english. While my turn, the chasier started spoke english because he know that i was foreigner, but i spoke in german. He was exited. German loves that foreign spoke in their language. Maybe it was because of their nationalism.
For the second tour, i visited the "Schloss Heidelberg" that drived me to the past with its thousands red tenacious bricks architecture. After that i sailed along the romantic river.he friendly summer wind made me always remember that Neckar river. At last ,our Heidelberg tour was ended by a tempting Spagetty and “Apfelsaft” (Appel Juice) in the “Markt Platz” of Heidelberg.
This gifts from Germany awere me that God bless us with a beautiful diversity. Since that time my eyes are opened. Different cultures, language, people, nationalities etc. can creat the color of our live. Many friends and new people that i was destined to meet there and the new athmospheres create somethings special for my live. I wish i can visit the other countries with beautiful experiences again and get a lot of gifts from that countries.
