Hello,

Since the first time I get my hands on my Dad's old Praktica camera, I feel I would like to do photography. I was always interesting in travel photography and showing to people countries, places where they might never get. Also interesting to show poor and rural places, which are usually far away from the tourist trails.
That was the reason why I went to Cambodia this year. And spent 2 weeks in an orphanage plus another week travelling a little bit in this beautiful country. I was lucky and I could visit a village school educating 140 kids in one classroom and also could have a boat trip to the cradle of the Angkor civilization at the far rural end of Cambodia, close to the Vietnamese border. At the end of my trip I could also experience the bustle of the capitol Phnom Penh.
I know my pictures are not perfect and I can see lots of mistake by now, that is why I have entered into this competition because I would like to learn more about travel photography and I think the best way of learning is exercising, and learning on location, not from books. I would like to learn not just taking pictures like a tourist but more like a travel photographer.
