About trekearth

Only about 5 years ago, I found my life was just ordinary, did pretty much the same, go to work, hang out with friends with no passion in anything really. Maybe writing, but I found it my writing was sucks.

Until me and some friends found a new activity which is indoor wall climbing. I personally started to like the only exercise I found really fun. We went to the 'wall' almost everytime we have days off from work. Later on we started to do outdoor climbing, which was my new episode of getting into outdoor nature ( How sad? I was already 30 year old! ). Me and some friends sometimes went camping in the weekend and the do some rock climbing the next day.

The part of climbing together and camping together or hanging out together landed me with great and amazing friends. Friends for life who always be there until now, most of them are still my very best friend.

And then another dear friend came by to Dubai ( the place I lived in for 12 years ) and learned my new hobby and activity. He told me about a book Into Thin air, I know its nothing to do with what I do, but reading that book stirred my mind about the place called Nepal. Judge me all you want, that I, myself aware that the book is about accident/tragedy but don't ask me why I wanted to go to Nepal. Maybe inspired by the mountain called Everest. So less than a year after I found myself in Nepal and did the Annapurna Base Camp and the trip completely changed my life. The idea of trekking, traveling alone, meeting new people, learning the culture/history of a place I visited is now in my blood.

So for the next 5 years I travelled to many countries, Cambodia, Chile, Vietnam, Tibet, Laos, India, Canada, Burma and another 4 trips to my favorite country, Nepal. Experienced amazing time, made connection to the place I've been. And met lots of people who inspired me in many ways.

But I found work and holiday it's hard to managed. I love trekking and it's hard to combined the trekking and visiting the place with such a short time during my holiday from work.

So here I am, sitting at the coffe shop in Cusco Peru, a month after I quit my job to travel the world and pursuing my dreams, which is travel the world.
