I grew up surrounded by photography. My father, who was already in love with photography, passed this passion on me, when he bought me the first camera as a birthday present when I was eight. From that moment, I recorded all important events in my life with my camera. I began observing the world around me through the "eyes" of my camera.

Based on my education I am a computer science engineer, based on my family tradition I am a woodcarver and a gunsmith, and based on the God's will I am a passionate amateur phtographer.As a former handball player, I am fond of sports, and as a mountain climber, I am completely into exploring natural beauties.

Due the nature of my profession and my hobbies, I travelled all around my country and can freely say that I am an excellent connoisseur of its natural and culturall beauties. The social and economic conditions in my country deprived me of seing the rest of the world and its beauties.Just recently have we got an opportunity to travel and explore the other parts of the globe. This is why this competition is so valuable for me. It gives me an opportunity to expand and deepen my knowledge and improve my skills by combining my three passions: photography, exploration and nature.

I want to point out that the mentorship of Jason Edwards will be extremely useful for me taking into consideration my professional plans for the future. At the moment, I am collecting the material for my book about woodcarving in Serbia, as well as the material for my book about hidden beauties of Serbia, both to be published in the future.
