Life and Times of Traveler and Ex-Pat in Thailand

About mistah_dovetonsils

I'm a writer, musician, and Dzogchen-Buddhist practitioner living in a small cabin in rural Thailand. Have lived and worked in Asia for 18 years, written tunes for American alternative band Camper Van Beethoven, Box o' Laffs, Wrestlin Worms, Shemduhpenman, Rich West among others and have studied with many well known literary figures including Nathaniel Mackey, Nanos Valaoritis, Chris Funkhouser, Gillian Connoly, Myung Mi Kim, Stephen Cope and others. I enjoy music production and collection, including Thai country music, I once lived in a house that had many jam sessions and parties where people as diverse as Patty Waters, Janes Addiction, The Beat Nigs, Sun Ra Arkestra, Savage Republic, Eugene Chadbourne, among others came through and visited, jammed, partied etc. I am the author of several mostly unavailable books of poetry: Grains of Lead, Unrocked Flowers from The Loud River Louder, Mowf America Dank Teeterin, The Puto Ragas, and Bender Tuttins, a Gertrude Stein Re-mix.

I have lived and travelled extensively in California, Korea, Taiwan, Java, Mexico and Thailand and travelled to Malaysia, Singapore, China, Laos, Vietnam, Canada, UK, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Guatemala.
