blue bottle jelly fish
I never seen a jelly fish like that in my whole life!How could this be, it's such a beautiful creature and yet it's dangerous, well i guess that what they say you can look but you better not touch....

the blue bottle kinda looks like the portuguese man o war. I live in australia and i have seen the blue bottle. it is very interesting

glenn, the blue bottle is in fact the Portugese Man of War! Same animal, different name. I live in Australia too. ;D

I got stung by this on my foot at the beach once... not pleasant at all! It feels stingy at first however the worst feeling is the after effects of cramp like feeling that gradually creeps up your leg all the way to your abdomen almost. almost feels like the after effects of being kicked in the balls.. However, it got drastically better after an hour or so, and no long term effects!

Just walked the beach here in Daytona Florida this morning and the beach is littered with these! Some guy said it was "fish lungs" from a fishing vessel.. but no... they are jellies! :)

Got stung on my toe by one of these this afternoon, not a nice feeling, it was burning however half an hour later it was fine. They are littered @ kings beach Port elizabeth South África.
