The Democratic Republic of the Congo's main gorilla park in Virunga, has been seized by rebel soldiers. This means already endangered mountain gorillas, their carers and the people of Virunga are in serious danger. Gorillas have been caught in cross fire and recently 117 rangers were forced to evacuate their posts in Virunga National Park as a direct result of the fighting.
I have donated some money, but we desperately need to raise more funds - please be assured that 100% of the money donated goes to assisting the rescue of gorillas and rangers. We also need to raise awareness, as awareness is the first step to making real change. Please pass on the following link!!
Thanks, Maz.

Thank you to those who have read this post and to those who donated or passed on the link!! :) When you visit - http://gorilla.cd/ - you can also become a campaigner, as I have done. This means you can blog and raise money through the website. All of the stories on that website are well worth a read, as this seems to be a cause that few people are aware of. Cheers! Maz xx
