My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

China | Tuesday, January 8, 2013 | 5 photos

My name is Franc Pallarès, I’m 31 and for the last 15 months I’ve been living a nomad life through Asia. I grew up near Barcelona, and in this city I went to college, became architect and founded my own office. But after few years I had to admit and accept my wildest dreams: I wanted to travel the world on my own without a return ticket.

Travel to experience and to learn, but also to document my journey with my photos. This is how the project www.outteresting.com was born. But I had to “go blind” -3 DSLR stop working in less than 2 months- to finally realize why photography was so important to me and why I needed to keep on. My camera was the sixth sense that kept me aware of my surroundings, it was the element that pushed me to go one step further next hill. Without the camera I was blind, mute and less of myself.

I’m natural hard worker that was raised to enjoy life with passion and respect. I have the ambition to improve myself and embrace critics, to make that daily little step towards, or backwards. And I have the humble discipline required to help and assist whatever whenever is necessary. The only thing I’ve been missing is a Mentor, someone to look upon and to learn from.
