Tales of a Traveling Twenty-something

About dani-leigh

In the words of Shakira "soy gitana". Not in the traditional wandering around being a part of a nomadic family, and all the stereotypes along with it. Instead as in the urge to constantly to explore new and different places, cultures, and foods. My first love, and the reason for my travel bug is the latino culture, specifically Mexico. However after living in Spain for a semester I have branched out to loving the Spanish people and their lifestlye. Spanish is hte only language I can acclaim to being near fluent however recently my desire to explore has led to the study of portuguese. While very similar culturally and linguistically to spanish, there is something extra some element of excitment specifically from what my Professor descreibes as the mix of cultures, cuisines and passions making up Brasil that further triggers my curiosity.

My travels have introduced me to people from around the world. They have shared stories of their lands, taught me a few words of their homes and let me quench my thirst for world travels a little bit at a time. To me the people you meet along the way are just as important as the final destination.
