Hi internet world! I realize that most people reading this journal know me personally, but I know that there are a few people out there who I have not met. I am a student doing a summer internship in a rural town in the centeral region of Uganda called Lyantonde. At the request of my family, my friends, and my bosses I have started a blog to keep them updated on my summer, and to ensure them that I am safe and sound. I am working at an NGO called Salama Shield Foundation producing a promotional video for them. I am here with five other mzungu. Together with SSF my classmates and I are working to help the community in ways that they have determined they need help. This incluseds giving out school books, goats, micro-credit loans, HIV testing, mentors for youth, ect. They are a brilliant organization, and I am very lucky to working with them. I will be here until the end of August and plan to have many adventrues until then. I hope you all enjoy at least one story that I write, and that you don't feel like you just wasted time you'll never get back. Happy reading!!
