My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Capturing a fleeting moment,travel,discovery,the adrenalin rush of braving the unknown.This makes me feel alive.I hunger to see the beauty of our world in every form,to bear witness to our changing environment.I’ve decided to leave my world behind & venture into the unknown,camera in hand,to document the crazy & the beautiful;vast landscapes & the people who fill it;magnificent creatures & the surprising humanity at every turn.After all,magic happens outside your comfort zone.My partner and I are chasing an adventure worth capturing.We’ll pack up our lives,sell our things & start our journey from Joburg,RSA to Buenos Aires,ARG in Oct ‘13.We’ll trek through Argentina,work on organic farms for a few hours a day in return for room & board,free time spent with locals,to learn their ways,hear their stories,walk in their footsteps-all while documenting this in photos,videos & words.We’ll travel up the coast of Chile,to Peru,& on to Venezuela.3 months in each country & a year would've passed.Along the way I’ll use my skills as an English teacher & while we learn from others,they learn from us.
This scholarship is THE best education I could receive to prepare for my dream, my calling.
