My Scholarship entry - Hidden Springs

Hi! My name is Zach Cooney, and I am a certified Ocean-Rescue Lifeguard with six years of rescue training. I also have profetional training as a back-up trails guide for dangerous wildlife, through FGASA in Botswana, and six months of tactical, counter-poaching experience in Southern Africa. I have travelled to almost 30 countries, and can speak Spanish. Currently I am attending UCF for environmental studies and creative writing. I am very passionate about photography, especially wildlife, landscape, travel, and cultural based subjects. I would like to use my photography skills to shed light onto environmental issues such as poaching, in order to bring awareness to people who would not otherwise understand what is happening.
