Singapore's “clean and green” campaign has become more visible and more aggressive over the years, more artificial landscapes emulating natural sceneries are being built across the island. Societies create landscapes in their own image and Singapore aims to be a green tourist destination. “Artificial landscapes can be microcosmos of the larger landscape, but the larger landscape can also be conceptually organized as an extension of the artificial one”.
