My Scholarship entry - She is The Kumari, The living Goddesses
Passion is everything: move people in a direction , it gives them hope and strength…passion wakes you up in the morning , when all seems dark.
My passion of photography moves my steps in search of stories to tell , stories of life , stories of women… stories near and far. I’m Viviana Corvaia , I'm 28 years old, and I started to look through the camera and taking pictures 12 years old, when accidentally were lost all the photos of me and my family ; it was a big disappointment for me that I loved looking at the pictures of my family whenever I could.
I started to study photography in Florence two years ago and then I’ve attended two workshop of reportage ( one Palermo and one in Kathmandu) organized from "Mother India school" the school of photography founded by Shobha Battaglia in India. Why choose me? Because I'm curios of everything, I love children and the respect between individuals and the world around them.I hope more than anything in the world to do the photographer and tell the stories, even if the historical period that we live is not at all easy to do this job. But I want to believe it that will be for me an opportunity express myself and to do a great experience!
