My Scholarship entry - Path of the Ancients

Guatemala | Tuesday, November 4, 2014 | 5 photos

Every moment of freedom of mine is spent in a quest to challenge myself and explore the vast world in which I live in. I was born in Pea Ridge, Arkansas and lived a life where exploration was my means of entertainment. Backpacking through the Ozark National Forest lead to more expansive outings. From mountain biking the Southwest and living out of my vehicle to living in Mazatlan, Mexico and Playa El Tunco, El Salvador where I leaned to surf and speak a little Spanish. I love adventure and I have leaned to cope with my situation and not panic when obstacles present themselves. I love photography and I love nature and most of all learning. I am mellow and keep to myself a majority of the time and can spend extended amounts of time waiting in the mud for that perfect shot. Friends always know that I will have video equipment in-hand. Whether we are kayaking or riding mountain bikes, I am always using my GoPro's or point and shoots to capture the moments.
