When i was a young boy growing up i was over weight and had no confidence. I was picked on a lot and that effected me in my study and social skills. My marks were bad and i did was not very social. I went to high school and took up basketball and rowing and with in a year i lost a lot of weight and gained confidence, my marks went up and i was much happier but i still was a very antisocial kid. About 6 years ago i picked up a camera, it was by coincidence it was just a random class i had at uni. I started to really get into photography, at first i shot landscapes because there was no one around and it was quite peaceful. As my skills advanced i started shooting motorsports and shooting at festivals and events for fun. While shooting at these things people came up to me and started just talking. At first i was very awkward about it but slowly i became better at interacting with people, and now of photography i have become much more social and now i go up to people and talk to them. I have made many friends and it is all thanks to photography. I love going to different types of events experiencing the culture of it and the challenge of capturing it for all to see.
