My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Hello, my name is Stefan. I am twenty-three years old and I am from Bulgaria. I am currently studying law, but my greatest passion is photography.
I love photography because it could be satisfying in so many different ways. Of course, there is the gratification from the act of creation and from the process of developing and refining skills. But the greatest reward for me is not creating a technically perfect photograph rather creating a strong and compelling image which conveys a message to other people.
I usually find inspiration in other photographers’ work or by simply exploring a new place or theme, or even by revising and rethinking old ideas and subjects. I am really self-critical so it is easy to motivate myself just by studying pictures I have taken and finding mistakes I have made.
I love travelling and Greenland is one of the places I want to visit the most – because of the Arctic Ocean, the fjords, the magnificent glaciers and the wildlife. Winter is my favorite time of the year and I am used to harsh winter conditions. I am working out regularly and I think I am physically ready for the trip.
Last but not least – I am always up for learning new things.
