My Scholarship entry - The Rainbow Nation- South Africa's Natural Beauty
Hello! My name is Tim Mombourquette. I'm 18 years old and in my 2nd year of a microbiology & immunology degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Though I'm following a career path to medical school, I am passionate about film and photography and hope to one day attend school for film and photo.
I've recently had many opportunities to do something that I love dearly- travel. I've been to South Africa, Thailand, Qatar, Dubai, Germany, England, France, California, and more, in the last 2 years alone.
Wherever I go, my closest travel buddy is my camera. I have taught myself photography over many years, and developing my skills as I go.
I'm always looking for a new adventure. I'm known by my peers as someone who is always travelling and always doing something crazy and fun- whether it's swimming with great white sharks, zip-lining through jungle, or skydiving over savannah.
Having the opportunity to go to Peru will help to develop my photography skills while travelling trough beautiful natural territory- and nature, travel, and photography are 3 things that go well together with me. I am young, eager, and undoubtedly have a willingness to learn.
