The Ecuador

My Scholarship entry - Ecuador - the rich, the lonely, the beauty

I am a normal girl, belonging to an everyday, middle class family. In my family, doing anything out of the circle is highly unlikely situation. Everyone is used to do the same things, maybe for the sake of security. Photography, is a mean through which I break this norm. I wander, I experiment, I become spontaneous in capturing the moments, which, in our rush to achieve everything, completely neglect. I can take a picture, and give it a story, maybe not the right one, but thank god to perspective. I can rejoice when I get a good shot, the happiness that fills me is impeccable. The reliving of the moment, and the idea of capturing something so beautiful gives me such joy, that nothing else in the world that I do can give me. I feel proud, I feel proud of the work that I have done and treat it like a baby so that I can bring out the best in me.
So far I haven't done anything professional with my photos, as I am not sure about how good or bad they are. These competitions give me a boost in confidence and the thrive to do more. I want to be selected for this competition as I want to explore more for my own benefit.
And who does not want to work with National Geographic!
