Paradise rediscovered

My tryst with photography is a journey to discover the truth: the layered paradigms of truth that lies beyond what the eyes do not usually see.
The relationship began on a normal day, when I picked up a book. The cover page, a b/w photo of a bride in her wedding gown looking at a beggar on the street, who was asking for money to buy food, brought out the contrasting reality of my country with such stunning impact that it opened my eyes to the power of a photograph.
My creative juices started flowing as the medium began to appeal to me. My teachers inculcated in me the skill of looking at things with different perspectives and helped me with skills like composition and seeing. I became aware of the subjects I like to capture: I realised I like raw and hidden beauty.
Now I wish to gain formal education in photography in a structured and professional channel. This will throw open new vistas of opportunities towards the fulfillment of my dream to be a successful photographer of global repute. Towards this end, I apply to your scholarship, having equipped myself with a disciplined work ethic, a latent creativity, and the face of a responsible social citizen, through my schooling.
