My Scholarship entry - Climbing & Flying

My name is Haydn Glen Sutton. I am a Aircraft Engineer by trade, and a very keen photographer and pilot. I am also part of the local Search and Rescue group here in Dunedin.

I would love to do a overseas photography tour! I haven't had the chance to travel much. I left my home country for the first time earlier this year! I went to England, France and Germany to see my girlfriend at the time. Although I was only there for a month, I loved it! I am trying to save up for another trip overseas, I am looking at prices to go down to the ice. I really want to travel, to see and experience the world. Being from NZ, everything is so far away. There is so much to see and experience in the world. I could go look at pictures/videos online but it is not the same as being there, living it, embracing the moment.

As far as my photography goes I mostly use a film Pentax P30t camera, I do have a 14MP point and shoot that I take with me on tramps and climbing, mainly due to the fear of breaking my Pentax on the side of a rock. To get the opportunity to have a travel photography scholarship would be an amazing thing to have happen to me and would help me improve on my photography skills.
