My Scholarship entry - Street Fairytales

Traveller, adventurer, polyglot, entrepreneur, activist, snowboarder, inventor, engaged in many activities. Expressing travels through photography and videos forever, but actually got more serious about it after establishing 5 months long project during my 1st year at uni, being caught up in part time job and classes, trapped into everyday routine and hungry for wonderful more than ever, I decided to buy cheapest airplane tickets to different places in Europe and spend there my only free 3 days in month, documenting it in pics and vids. Afterwards I went on cross-cultural volunteer journalism project in China, and right before it I got my first camera and I started learning about photography via Internet. My pics were part of social interest exhibition in New Ink Gallery in Beijing, and three of them were sold for 200 yuan each to raise money for local NGOs we worked with. I have never thought about being professional photographer, filmmaker or earning money this way, but during my travels and various endeavours I discovered this is the only way to express my point of view, tell stories about people&places, raise awareness and maybe even bring change to the issues I care about.
