I love that photography enables me to connect with people and see things differently so images can transport the audience to another time and place. Allowing my photos to narrate my journey as I share my experiences, inspiring travel and adventure. Photography is a very powerful art form.
It amazes me the difference a few seconds can make to a photo as the afternoon suns emerges from the clouds to illuminate a city so it sparkles like a gemstone for a moment before retreating back into the clouds.
I am a worthy candidate for this scholarship as I want to enhance my knowledge and skills to capture the essence, beauty and shear immensity of something so the photo seems just as special as the real thing.
Photography is the art of observation capturing everyday things and making them extraordinary. I find the simplest things often make the best shots; but if captured in another light or at a slightly off angle will not make the same statement.
Photography is a very personal thing, with every image I am capturing the way I see the world, little things I notice. Photography is a subtle way of revealing myself to others. Welcome to my world!
