Over 100 million animals are sacrificed in the three days Eid Al-Adha occurs, with many voices raising objections on the cruelties, resources of livestock, & economic benefits for those involved. We must first understand the spirit Islam wishes to convey with Ibrahim’s loyalty to Allah’s will, & Isma’il’s willingness to accept his gruesome fate. With over 46 millions turkeys to be consumed on Thanksgiving in the US alone, it is unfair to say whose practices are deemed acceptable.
