My Scholarship entry - A Student of Travel
My name is Shannon Brates and in the spring I'll be graduating from university. Ill be able to start my life, but the question as to "what life" still remains. I'm graduating in the spring and I don't know what to do. I am the wanderlust soul that wakes up every morning, wishing that she could walk out of her front door and be shocked by a culture so unfamiliar to her that she will question whether she is actually awake. I am the graduate student who needs to experience new things and travel to different places to prove, better yet affirm, that what I want to do with my life, is to live the way others from around the world live theirs. I need to try new foods, learn new languages, participate in exotic rituals. I need to live.
