My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Russell kyle, ever since a young age I have had an insatiable appetite for the "great outdoors," and and as I have grown older than has developed into a deep love of travelling, and capturing life, beauty and the stories that occur on this planet and on a daily business. From the moment i picked up my first camera i was excited by the prospect of capturing a simple moment in time and conveying what you were experiencing or viewing at that moment in time, since then I have developed an interest in the overlooked and the smaller details in life that by many can be simply missed while also focusing on the natural outstanding beauty that surrounds us. As an avid reader and fan of National Geographic, I would love this oppurtunity to develop my skills and be mentored by a living great Mr. Jason Edwards and it would be dream to visit a place as beautiful and unique as Greeland. i used my local area of the Mournes Co. Down Northern Ireland as my case study as I personally believe that on the right day there is not a place as beautiful and dramatic as the Irish landscape.
