My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am currently completing an honours year in photography at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney Australia. I am using a 19th century photographic process, to focus on the forgotten potentials of the photograph, its unique ability to capture time.

I have been studying photography and film for the past 5 years. I have gained great satisfaction working with others, both my subjects and peers.

I have a strong passion for travel, exposing myself to other cultures, engaging with others hearing stories and life experiences in worlds that are so different from my own.Travel photography allows an insight into places we might not all be fortunate enough to visit. The photographs depict the vast wonders of the world.

The opportunity to encounter, observe and document Greenland would be an invaluable experience. I am eager to learn all that I can in terms of the technical and interpersonal skills involved in travel photography. The chance to visit this unique part of the world and navigate its landscape and meet its community would be very special. So far with very little experience this opportunity would be of significant value.
