IhavebeenimpassionedbyphotographysinceIreceivedmyfirst Kodakatage6.IwonascholarshiptotheBanffSchoolofFineArtsand amtheonlyphotographertowinthefineartsawardinmyhigh school’110yearhistory.Photographyhasbecomeavitaltoolinmy explorationoftheworld,Ibringacameraalways,usingphotography torecordandsharemyadventures.Iseeimageseverywherethatare unique,capturingasmallportionofthesethroughthelensstrivingto findthedetailsothersoverlook.Itcreatesmemoriesandapermanent visualrecollectionofalltheplacesIgo.Naturallightsituationscreates imageswherethemagicisbrieflythereandthengone,Ilovebeingable tocapturethesemomentstoberemembered.Workingatthe78th parallel,picturesshowedthetrueharshnessandisolationofmyice packlocationbetterthananywords.Iusemyloveofphotographytohookchallengedmymarginalstudents.Throughthelenshasallowedthemtoseetheworlddifferently.Afterbeingwellestablishedinmy career,IwentbacktoUniversitytocompleteaMastersofJournalismto furthermygoalofbecomingafulltimephotographer.Istrivetocreatebettershotsthroughtheuseofnaturallightandtheuseofneuraldensityorpolarizerfilters.IbegunworkingwiththeSystemgraduatedneutraldensityfiltersbyLEE.Mylongtermgoalistofollowmypassionforphotographyasafulltime.
