My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Photography has this ability to deeply sink into these dreams; into these many threaded webs of soul inhabited senses. They can enchantingly resurrect not only the beloved past, but also those emotions that build our daily lives. Photographies can be subtle and gentle; strong and burning, but nobody should award himself the right to judge the hidden truth behind a photograph. This is because photography is also a game: a personal game of truth and seeming truth. For me, life has always stared at me. I’ve felt that the world is an unfathomable place filled with secrets and fairy tale dangers; with love and happiness, with frightful and dark moments. And for me, these mysterious emotions that exist in my mind can become visible and gain reality through two mediums: photography and writing.
I am from Colombia, a strange but magical place where I often felt my senses half-awakened. This is one of the reasons why I decided to embrace a new journey and start a news life in Australia. This is why I want to keep challenging the world and my personal capabilities all around the world. Because thanks to these emotions great photographers have been able to transform the transitory eternal.
