My Scholarship entry - A personal reflection of you as a person

I’m hardworking, determined & keen to learn in places that are new to me. I’m fortunate enough to have a place at the number #1 Photography course (The Guardian) & feel that an opportunity like this would help develop my skills but also as a person & allow me to see the world in a different light.
I’ve lived in Devon for the majority of my life so have managed to capture amazing places. However, I’d love to be able to photograph a place culturally different to England.
Landscape photography is what I enjoy, however I’m also interested in exploring other genres. I showcase my work on Flickr & value hearing peoples' opinions, the feedback encourages me to try new things.
I’m at my happiest when behind the lens & never leave the house without my camera by my side. I’m always looking at views thinking how to capture it in an unusual way to get my thoughts across.
I feel that this experience would challenge me & the opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards would give me a great insight into working as a Photographer. I believe that I’m up to the ‘job’ & want to share the experience of journeying through the Peruvian Amazon through my photographs.
