Remnants of turtle eggs lie on the beach of Raz Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. Unfortunately, despite the turtle's best efforts for preservation, mortality rates are quite high for the babies at almost 99 percent. Their primary danger comes from foxes, who hunt for the eggs and even the new hatchlings.
