My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Bolivia | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos
During my travel across 25 countries, I have always carried two things: my diary to record dates, names, etc. and, my camera which I use as a telescope to gaze at grandiosity of human life and as a microscope to examine the minutest of human emotions. Sometimes, I sneak pictures of people in their own candid world. Other times I take their portraits in their most natural facade.
With this mini photo-journal from my trip to Bolivia, I have attempted to shine some light on the different facets of common life there. I brought back a unique learning with me: while Bolivians scramble to make their ends meet, they have leant to make time for important things in life and relish the most elementary and trivial activities of life. I achieved a sense of accomplishment when others learnt about the life there through my pictures.
I have had a decent exposure to portrait photography. Under Jason’s wings, I will get once-in-a-life-time training in landscape photography which will boost my competence and bring me many steps closer to being a photo journalist so that I can bring to others the beauty of life and of this world through my lens. I will also get an excellent exposure a new culture.
