My Scholarship entry - Living the dream
Hello my name is Aaron Hawley. I am 23 years old and I would like to be given this opportunity for many different reasons. I am an experienced traveller having been fortunate to travel to 27 countries at present and come Feb 2015 there will be quite a few more added to the list. I am a keen wildlife watcher and photographer. I have grown up with both of these hobbies through family. My mother is a photographer and father does a lot for the conservation of wildfowl. I am an engineer by trade so have I am mechanically minded and has the knowledge to develop useful ideas. I play rugby as a social sport with also competing at international level for England so I am physically fit for this adventure. I deem myself to be courageous and outgoing and willing to try anything that is put in my way. I am also a good social team member which is an important skill in surviving in all sorts of conditions. I live in Gloucestershire England right next to the river Severn so growing up I am used to the dangers of what rivers are capable of and how dangerous tides can be when caught in the wrong space. I love working with animals and people and I will continue to do this for the rest of my life.
