My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I see a camera as an extension of the body, a tool to enable me to capture beauty in a moment.
I've always had a love for capturing beauty, discovering I had a knack for photography was by accident in an art class at school. It was a pivotal moment and I know I haven't looked back since.
During my time studying I have missed the excitement and joy I receive from immersing myself in travelling, and taking photos of what, in the moment, only I can see. And to then be able to share it with others afterwards truly is a wonderful feeling.
With this scholarship I hope to learn more about the art of photography, and how to successfully capture the story and beauty in a moment. I hope to be able to develop my own photography style and to further understand what makes a great photo great. With the guidance of a professional photographer like Jason Edwards, I believe I will be able to learn all of these things and more.
