Journey into inner Algeria

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Algeria | Friday, July 5, 2013 | flickr photos

What if we asked, how many chances have a child who was born in a developing country in Africa and raised in poor living conditions to; study and have a successful life?

I was born in Algeria in poor and unstable living conditions, my family moved a lot. That made me a very lonely person but instead of considering the situation as weak I tried to seize this opportunity and take the best out of it this made me also very observant and having less and less friends over time I tried to find passions to accompany me and then I came across photography, that became later my field of study. Since there are no schools of photography or any other places to learn it in my country I applied for a scholarship that allowed me to study photography for a year in University of Central Missouri where I won many international Photography contests. The travel photography scholarship to Greenland is a great opportunity for me to learn more about photography have the chance to travel abroad and discover a whole new culture and landscape and a way to bring back knowledge to people of Algeria who seek to live their passion as I did before.
