Eid al Adha in Morocco

The Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha is the most important event of the year in Morocco. The holiday, observed by sacrificing a ram, celebrates the story of Abraham whose commitment to his faith leads him to sacrifice a ram instead of his son Ishmael. In the small town market of Boujaad men shop for “howli” (Moroccan dialect for “ram”), looking for the most impressive set of horns.
