My Scholarship entry - Our city in Black and White

My passion about photography and cinematography started at a very young age, mostly because of my father, he use to have french Photo magazines everywhere and always carried his Zenit 11 loaded with black and white film so I started shooting at a very young age. As a kid I wanted to be a journalist, I thought all the excitement and running around would be perfect for me since I couldn't imagine myself at a office 24/7 by any means. I started to change my mind when I realized that journalism was more about words then it was about images so I found Photojournalism. I wanted to be a Photojournalist during all my high school. When I finally applied for college I went for my other big passion, Cinema, since I kinda felt like 3 years of Cinema studies would be a different knowledge for my future, Photography was something I was already quite comfortable with and I would never stop doing it, as I didn't. Right now I can't imagine myself doing anything else but Photography. I feel like this is a perfect opportunity to learn with the best, in the field, where everything happens. My 10 years as a Rugby player gave me a lot of stamina so I think I have what it takes to embrace this challenge.
