Orange River Green - In the baking summer heat, the Orange River forms a up a small strip of lush green amongst what is otherwise a desolate brown landscape. With the large catchment covering a rainfall range from 2,000mm per annum at its source to as little as 50mm per annum at its mouth, this variation creates unstable conditions which carry thousands of tonnes of sediment every summer wet season. The significant volumes of sediment makes the mouth of the river a hotspot for Diamond Divers. Richtersveld National Park, Southern Namibia
