My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

South Africa | Sunday, May 19, 2013 | 5 photos

I,Mlondolozi Mbolo,I was born in South Africa,Eastern Cape Province,in the small rural town called Engcobo,in Qebe Village.I was born 05-05-1970,five years before my homeland Transkie got their independent from South African government that was lead by John Vorster in 1976.The first Transkie leader was Kaiser Matanzima.Because of land segregation, my parents were forced to stay in the mountains and slope valleys of Engcobo. I had a brother his name is Mayenzeke Mbolo, who matriculated in 1985, in the following year he was admitted at the University of Transkie in the faculty of education (BA degree). He became as half urban and half rural man.Every time when he comes back home for the school holidays, he will brought me old magazine and news papers that inspired me with nice picture pictures, and ever since then I always wanted to be a good photographer not only from my village but in the country. People in my Village most of them can't read and write but its very easy for everyone to read pictures, yes some of them will read it while the page is upside down.I am the person who always willing to learn, and I will be very happy if by any chance I will be selected for this scholarship.
