Passport & Plate - bozena shiro


Ingredients
-onion's
-a half killo meat
-shiro flour
-tomato sauce
-vegeterian oil
-butter

 

How to prepare this recipe
-First we have to chop down the onion to a very small pieces.then we have to do the same for the meat too.
-Then we heat the oven and put a medium pot on the oven to heat up for a while .
-when the pots heated up we apply a little oil,then we put the chopped onion to the pot and let the onion roast for two minutes.
-Then when the onion turns to brown we add a tomato sauce.
-After the tomato sauce we apply the chopped meat to the s.auce and mix them together.
Then we put a half a liter of water to the pot and let it boil for 5 minutes.
-when the water boils apply three scopes of shiro flour and mix it quickly.
-When we were mixing the meat with the shiro we have to be careful not to scatter all over the place,because it will boil like a volcano.
-After mixing it let it boil like 8 minutes ,then we put one scope of butter to the pot for a great taste and for a great aroma of the food.
-At last switch of the oven and put the pot on awarm surface to cool down.
-Then you can serve the bozena shiro that you cooked with injera or bread.

The story behind this recipe
One day i came from work and no one was there i was so hungry i opened the fridge and i found this tasty shiro wot on a bowl.so i heated it upon the oven and i bring ingera and bread and started eating while it was on the oven. it tasted fine but not that good so i stopped eating and start thinking what shall i do to make it taste better .Then it just hit me what if i add a butter may be it could change the taste.So first i added a little water because it does not dry up and the i applied a butter and let it melt all over the bowl.Then the taste was so good i ate like there was no other day.Then at dinner time i want to eat the same meal so i get up headed to the fridge and when i looked there was nothing. i forgot i ate it all.
Suddenly i fought what if i i tried to make that dish all by my self but i don't know how to cook.so i called my my mom and told her that i want to make the dish that i ate earlier and i need her help.she was amazed then she listed out the ingredients and how to combine it on the recipe.
So i started the recipe at first it was so hard piling the onions i could not stop crying it was so painful to my eyes. when mom saw me struggling with the onion she helped me me with the chopping.then she instructed me how to apply ingredients,which comes first and which comes last.There was some mistakes that happen during the process but mom corrected those.So when it was all finished me and mom sat down to eat.It was Great ,the taste was great ,the smell was great.Mom also said said it tasted great but when i tasted it ,it was good but not as great as i ate earlier because mom make that and that was my first cooking experience.
