A mountain of fire wood lies stacked outside the Kaapschehoop lookout post in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Although the idyllic scenery makes the area seem like an ideal place to work, the minimum temperatures may drop as low as - 5°c during the winter; which is why the watchmen need as much wood and warmth as possible to get them through the nippy days and nights.
