Passport & Plate - Macaroni salad
Ingredients
Macaroni
Rice Wine vinegar
Sugar
Mayo
Mustard
Season salt
Carrots
How to prepare this recipeBoil Mac
Mix sugar and vinegar equal parts
Drain mac and add still warm noodles to sugar/vinegar mix
Add mustard mayo and season salt and pepper to taste.
Mix in shredded carrots
let sit over night
The story behind this recipeMY wife and it were married in Hawaii and the we only ate at local/out of the way places, not all were the best but is seems they all had the macaroni salad as a side. I made it for the luau we had when we returned and every time I make it now it reminds us of the best two weeks of our lives. It is not the flashiest recipe but my wife does not enjoy adventurous food as much as I do.
